Johnson & Johnson is a multi-national medical devices, pharmaceutical and consumer packaged goods manufacturing company, with well-known brands including Band-Aid bandages, Tylenol medications, Johnson's baby products, Neutrogena skin and beauty products, Clean & Clear facial wash and Acuvue contact lenses.
Products are sold in over 175 countries and Johnson & Johnson has operations in 60 countries with its UK head office facility in Buckinghamshire. Ferro Design initially took on the job of refreshing the existing servery and introducing a new coffee bar at Johnson & Johnson's UK headquarters. Prior to Ferro's intervention the interior was looking tired, dated and in need of some fresh inspiration.
Ferro worked in conjunction with Dams Furniture to offer a dining solution suitable for a multi-billion dollar global business. Sienna is a moulded plastic dining chair collection which is a fantastic contemporary choice and makes a stylish addition to any dining facility or café. The curved retro design is available in a selection of colours with a chrome frame, and is a practical and durable choice due to the easy clean curvaceous surface.
Dining tables are sleek in appearance but built to withstand the varied demands of everyday life, offering a contemporary layer of style to any office dining space or café area. Circular tables were supplied in various wood finishes and laminate colours to add charm and warmth to the Johnson & Johnson coffee bar, to compliment the Sienna chairs with plenty of space for all employees to relax and dine during the working day.
The project was subsequently expanded to include the restaurant seating area and business lounge, as well as the onerous task of designing a system of sliding doors to close off the servery as required. The final result was a stunning piece of design, which won an Association of Interior Specialists award on completion.
